Its been a while since I posted some artwork. Here I am using the Heartstrings paperpack and you also get a little sneak peek at the January Stamp of the Month.

 

 

 

 

And here I am using some old paper, but what I really like about these layouts are how "simple & clean" they are. Sometimes that's just the way to go.

2015 Convention

This year I had the wonderful opportunity to head to Convention in Disney in CA. And guess what??? I am going in 2015!

Current campaign part 2

It occurred to me too late, of course, that I should have posted the stamp set image here as well. This is an awesome stamp set. You can create your own floral bundles or even do some amazing things by random stamping. The possibilities are endless.

Our current campaign

Right now through Studio J you can enjoy all of our wonderful papers, and even still use some of the older ones to create wonderful pages at $5 per layout! This is such a good deal with all that you can do while in this program. Another creative way? I've seen customers creating their holiday cards this way. You know, those family digital photo ones people send now a days. You can get a total of 8 cards per layout. How fun to really get creative and do something very special and yet keeping it digital.

So easy and So cute!

 

Pinterest has inspired me again! I got the pattern for these adorable treat bags from StampWithSilvey. No cutting required. I altered the measurements just a smidgen in an effort to see if I can make them bigger. This was done with an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper.

Christmas Shopping!

Christmas is nearly around the corner. I think I read 46 days..wow!

Our Albums are starting to arrive. Right now the Chevron and Black are available and the floral will be arriving very soon. Also, the rolling tote and carry tote will also be arriving any day now.

Pinterest strikes again!

With the developement of Pinterest my need to be crafty has increased! This year for Halloween I decided to make the chracter door. I only purchased 2 rolls of streamers and it wasn't nearly enough. Had to compensate with some craft paper to fill in the blanks but I think it still turned out cute.

The paper bags are for the lumenaries for my front porch steps. I made about 18 of these and have those fake candles to put inside. Might need to add some things to weigh them down more as we aren't expecting the best weather.

Fall is in the air...

The leaves are changing colors and the temperatures are getting much cooler. Its around this time of year and through out winter we tend to stay indoors more often and its a great way to start pulling out projects if you haven't. Halloween is just around the corner! There is still time to get your hands onour cute paper pack as well as those adorable stamp sets!  Come November I will be hosting a PML buffet. Visit the workshop tab for further details. My favorite product by far!

I really love flip flaps. The following photos are with the Balloon Ride paper packet. Along the left side I used a 6x12 flip flap. Its really hard to photograph this product but every crop or other event I have been to I sell these like hot cakes. If you ever would like an "in person" demo get in touch with me. I may even try to make a video showcasing these as well.

Summer is almost over....

Back from vacation and summer is almost over...well, not officially, but the planning for school next week sure makes it feel like summer is over. While on vacation I had some time to work on some layouts. In the next week I will be posting these as they are great examples of how to use the Make It From Your Heart idea books. Not only do they help you cut your paper effectively, they also provide wonderful inspiration. I will reference the pages I used for my layout so you can see "my take" on it. If you don't own a copy of one of these yet then get them!

Coming in September I will post a layout workshop I plan to host. A great way to show how the Chalk It Up paper can be used more than just for school photos.

What I want to know is, what inspires you? When working on a layout do you try to match the photo with colors? Do you try to have themed paper for the subject? Do you wing it? Do you scraplift from others? There is no right or wrong way to get your prjects done. I think most of the time we are just wishing we had MORE time, right?

Is it time to be thinking about school already ??? eek!

So I am faced with my first child going to school, all day....Kindergarten! It is crazy how fast my eldest has grown and the new endeavors he and I will be facing together with this new stage of his life. It is exciting and scary at the same time.

With that being said I thought I would share a really cute teacher stamp set from the current Idea Book. I know all you crafty moms out there have plans for the school year and this stamp set just might help!

Washi Tape

I never thought I would be a fan of washi tape, but now I totally love it! There are so many ways to use it. You can really add to your artwork as well as bind those PML cards to make mini albums. Watch this video for more inspiration!

Workshops in the future

Besides the Open House for the new Annual Inspirations book on August1st I have two workshops coming up. September 12th & 14th is my Halloween tag or bag topper workshop. And October 10th & 18th will be the 2 page 12x12 layout workshop. Both are using new products. Stay tuned for images. Space is limited and you must pre pay in order for me to be sure I have enough supplies.

I just love the two wire frames we sell. They are very versatile and guess what? You can paint them! Convention

In just 4 days I will be heading off to Convention in Anaheim! I am so excited. I've already been hearing about some of the new ptoducts coming. From new colors and a new cricut cartridge. Did you know??

If you own a Close To My Heart stamp set then you already own this awesome tool! Its that piece of foam that comes inside your stamp set case.
