A lot of people ask me how I got into scrapbooking and more importantly why Close To My Heart. Truth is, I didn't even know what that word meant when I started. I was putting together a special gift for my husband's 30th birthday. He has so many friends and memories I thought it would be fun to reach out to them all. I asked everyone to send me a photo and a story or memory they have of my husband. I was then going to put it together in some fashion. A good friend of mine invited me over as she had some supplies and ideas on what I could do. And eventually putting this album together I learned the word "scrapbooking".
If you had to compare that album with what I do today, there is a big difference. I laugh sometimes because if I could, I would re-do that first album. But I won't, as it is a good memory of what I do now and how I got here.
Now, how did I get involved with Close To My Heart? Well, through the years I had been to a party or two. My crafting skills increased and so did my passion. I just loved the products Close To My Heart offers! Finally, I decided to join Close To My Heart so that I could get a discount on the products. I always ordered so much it just seemed the way to go. I hadn't planned to make it my business. I was starting a family and didn't have the time.
Three kids later and probably less time than I had before I am officially working this business. I love the opportunity to share exciting new products. I love teaching new techniques and ideas. And most of all I love that I can do this on my own schedule and get to meet a lot of wonderful people along the way, create new relationships and make a little money as well.
I have been with Close To My Heart for 6 years. I just love their products and most of all the discount I can get because I joined the company (and FREE goods along the way). Preserving memories is important. Performing this task is even more important and a very nice way to relax. Bring out your creativity (yes, you have it too!). Want to learn more and how to this?
